Eleanor Doughty invites you on a captivating journey into the world of the Fitzwilliam family and the storied Wentworth Woodhouse. In this talk, she reflects on the research behind Heirs and Graces—from delving into private family archives to tracing the lives of Peter and Obby Fitzwilliam through their friends and relations. Along the way, she will unveil rarely seen images and intimate glimpses into a distinguished family’s life, offering perspectives both personal and previously unexplored.

Accessibility

This event takes place in the Low Drawing Room, which is on the Ground Floor of the Mansion.  There is ramp access to the ground floor of the Mansion. Due to the age and nature of Wentworth the first floor is currently only accessible by stairs.

Accessible parking is available and will be signed.
