Black Diamonds Ball 2025
Celebrating the Life of Dame Julie Kenny
Saturday 11th October 2025
Wentworth Woodhouse
Drinks Reception-6:30pm, Carriages- 1am
Dame Julie Kenny was a truly remarkable individual, who achieved so much, and meant so much, to so many. She touched people’s lives, often strangers to whom she gave her time and attention, even when she had little to spare. An exceptional woman, who never turned her back on her roots, or on South Yorkshire, the region she was so fiercely proud of.
On October 11th we shall remember Julie and celebrate her life at a very special event, a new twist on her Black Diamonds Ball. Julie founded the ball in 2019, and each year she would work tirelessly, selecting menus, table settings, auction prizes and guest lists. The event was established as a fundraiser for the Wentworth Woodhouse Preservation Trust but this year the focus will be our Julie.
Please join us as we celebrate all that Julie stood for: kindness, generosity, fun, and laughter. Whilst we shall retain some elements of previous Black Diamonds events, this year will be a little different, with new surprises including daring performances, world class art, music and dance as Wentworth Woodhouse is transformed into the House of Fun.
All proceeds from this year’s event will go to the Dame Julie Kenny Legacy Fund, established to ensure that Julie remains, as always, very much at the heart of our work. Julie’s name is synonymous with Wentworth Woodhouse and shall remain so.
