Get creative this Christmas and make a beautiful festive table decoration to take home, in a relaxed and informal workshop at Wentworth Woodhouse. 

Led by experienced florist Liz from Side Farm Flowers, you’ll create a beautiful seasonal arrangement in a vintage brick mould or wooden box, using sustainable, reusable and plastic-free mechanics. 

Choose from a beautiful selection of homegrown and locally sourced evergreen foliage, dried flowers and seedheads, natural cones, dried fruits and spices, feathers, bells and beautiful ribbons, with a tapered candle and holder to complete your arrangement. 

Liz will introduce you to the materials available and demonstrate some simple techniques to get you started, before giving you the freedom to create your own design. Along the way, you’ll discover some of the fascinating meanings behind different foliage and flowers through the traditional language of flowers. 

Once everyone has finished, all the arrangements will be brought together to experiment with different Christmas tablescape ideas. Discover how individual arrangements can be combined with candles, bud vases and loose foliage to create everything from an abundant table runner to a more relaxed, natural meadow-inspired display. 

All materials and equipment are provided, including an apron and snips, with scissors, gloves and stem strippers also available. You’ll also receive a handy care and information leaflet to help you get the most from your creation.  

Come along with friends, family or simply enjoy some creative time for yourself, and leave with something beautiful to bring a little festive magic to your Christmas table.

Cost includes all materials plus tea or coffee.   Add a glass of sparkling wine, on the day, for £7.50. 

Additional Booking Information 

• Please note, The Camellia House is a temperature-controlled environment to ensure the safety of our historic camellias. Therefore, please bring an extra layer on colder days and wear appropriate footwear for the walk to The Camellia House.

• Dogs aren’t permitted inside the Camellia House, however, assistance and support dogs are welcome.

Accessibility 

• Complimentary on-site parking is provided. Please follow signs for Visitor Parking for Wentworth Woodhouse.   There is no car parking at The Camellia House.
• The Gardens and The Camellia House are both fully accessible to wheelchair users, with an accessible toilet available within.
• A Changing Places toilet facility is available next to The Camellia House.

Visitors with disabilities may bring an accompanying carer free of charge when paying for a full-price ticket. Carer tickets must be pre-booked online. Supporting documents may be required at the entrances. This includes proof of

** Please note, where carer tickets gain access to workshop or courses, they do not include course materials or resources. Carers wishing to participate in courses and workshops are required to purchase a full price ticket.
