Wentworth Woodhouse welcomes you back to the annual lecture series.
The Georgians flocked to Derbyshire's ‘Bath in miniature’. They drank the waters; learned to swim; attended assemblies, balls and the theatre; went on excursions; visited apothecaries; and consumed dangerously high levels of opium! Dr Peter Collinge presents an entertaining account of this period using Lady Hester Newdigate’s letters and the account book of Lady Jane Macartney.
