Our one-day family arts festival, WE Wonder, returns for 2026 as we reimagine Wentworth Woodhouse as Rotherham's original nightclub and prepare to boogie on down for a vibrant, joyful celebration of dance, rhythm, and communal gathering. From live and interactive music and dance performances and a silent disco in Acer Wood, to walkabout performances and craft activities and workshops - join us for Rotherham's biggest party!
In partnership with Flux Rotherham and funded by Arts Councils England.
WE Wonder: The Original Nightclub is a family one-day arts festival. It will include:
- Live dance and music performances including interactive performance of The Ostentatious Ball. We encourage you to come in your glad rags- and join in!
- A Silent Disco in Acer Wood
- Walk-a-bout performances
- Pif-Paf Theatre’s Right to Play
- Craft activities and workshops
- Traditional dance including Morris dancing, maypole dancing and more.

Additonal Information
- Ticket cost includes admission to the gardens however does not include access to the House. This can be purchased separately.
- There will be no access to the Gardens until 11am.
- Picnics are allowed but please do not bring glass bottles or knives
- Disposable BBQs are prohibited
- Dogs are welcome to attend WE Wonder but there is no access to dogs in some areas including workshop village (unless assistance dogs). Dogs must be kept on a lead.
- Performances take place throughout the day at staggered performance times.
- Activities are aimed at those aged 5 years & over.
- To ensure everybody's enjoyment of the event, visitors are requested not to bring alcohol on to the site. Glass and knives are also not permitted on site. Please also note that bag searches will be in operation.
- Event organisers reserve the right to refuse admission or to eject a ticket holder for behaviour which The Management considers inappropriate or unacceptable. Anyone found to be partaking in anti-social behaviour, undertaking actions that may cause harm and distress to others, or actions that may lead to the compromising the event in any way will be ejected from the site
- Children under 16 years of age must be accompanied by a paying parent or guardian over the age of 18 at all times.

Accessibility
Wheelchair Access
WE Wonder takes place in the West Front Gardens. The Gardens have accessible routes. There are some gravel paths, areas of incline and uneven surfaces; please speak to a member of the Wentworth Woodhouse Team for details.
Prayer & Quieter Spaces
Prayer tents / reflection spaces are provided. There are separate tents for men and women, which include basic washing facilities and some prayer mats.
Toilets
Accessible toilets are in the Garden (portaloos) and at the Camellia House. Baby change facilities can also be located in the Garden and at the Camellia House.
Seating
- There is a variety of seating in the West Front Gardens, including benches, deckchairs and chairs. You are also welcome to bring your own blanket or chair.
- Picnic Area and Shade: A picnic area is set up in under the Stretch Tent. This also provides shade and shelter.
Security
Bag checks will be in operation for the safety and comfort of participants. The following items are not allowed:
- Weapons or items that could be used as weapons e.g. knives, blades
- Glass bottles
- Alcohol
